In the southern sector of Maiko National Park, a series of stakeholder consultation workshops was organized as part of the rollout of grievance management mechanisms ( GMM ).
This initiative is fully aligned with the co-management approach between the Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature ( ICCN ) and Fauna & Flora, promoting a participatory, inclusive approach rooted in dialogue with local communities.
Bringing together local communities, civil society, and government services, these workshops provide a platform for listening and constructive exchange.
They help better integrate local concerns while strengthening conflict prevention and management mechanisms.
They reflect concrete joint efforts under co-management to promote peaceful, transparent, and sustainable governance, in support of biodiversity conservation and the well-being of local communities.
