Each time a family gives birth to the Jumals in the village of Detoonane in the BABILA-BABOMBI chiefdom in Mambasa territory in Ituri in the Eastern of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), both parents including their Jumals are initiated in accordance with ancestral rituals.

The recent case happened in the village of TUONANE this August 08, 2025 two days after the birth of the Jumals.

The BABILA from the village of TUONANE near BANDISENDE devote a mid-day for rituals in order to implore ancient protection in favor of newborns.
